The TP-POE Power Over Ethernet Power Sources offered by Tycon Power Systems are quality midspan power sources for years of reliable operation even in the toughest conditions. They accept data-in to a shielded RJ45 Jack and provide surge protected data-out and power on the shielded RJ45 output jack. They work by supplying power to the remote device on the unused Ethernet pins 4,5(V+) and 7,8(V-). For the "R" model the voltage is reversed. 4,5(V-) and 7,8(V+). The Ethernet spec supports distances up to 100m (328 feet).

There are models available that support 802.3af and 802.3at as well as models that support Gigabit Ethernet. The units are autoranging so that they accept AC inputs from 90VAC to 264VAC (50/60 Hz) and they supply regulated DC Voltage at the output. They have various protections for surge, short circuit, overload and overvoltage. The medium power models (TP-POE) have power output up to 24W and the high power models (TP-POE-HP) up to 50W. They are available in 18V, 24V and 48-56V DC Output with load regulation within 5%. The CI model has a special current sense LED which changes color when a POE device is plugged onto the CAT5 cable.

The TP-DCDC-4856G-VHP is a very high power DC to DC converter / passive POE inserter designed for Ubiquiti airFiber™ antennas and also various outdoor PTZ security cameras.

The DCDC converter supplies 70W passive POE power on all 8 Ethernet wires.

They have two isolated inputs for connecting 2 power sources, like a primary and backup power source. They have various protections for surge, short circuit and overload. The input and output are isolated.

The TP-DCDC-4856GD-VHP is a special very high power DC to DC converter / POE inserter designed and qualified for use with Axis Q60 Series outdoor PTZ security cameras.

The DCDC converter supplies 35W per POE channel. One POE channel is using pins 4,5,7,8 and the other POE channel utilizes pins 1,2,3,6. By splitting the power onto separate POE channels, the device can achieve 70W total supplied power to the end device. The TP-DCDC-4856GD-VHP has separate LED indicators for indicating which 802.3at channel is being used by the client. The RIGHT LED indicates POE Channel 1 and the LEFT LED indicates POE Channel 2.

The TP-DCDC-4856GD-VHP has been qualified by Axis to be used with their Q60 series of PTZ cameras. The unit can be used with any 802.3at device as it will supply 35W to any 802.3at POE channel detected. If two channels are detected on the client then 70W power will be supplied.

The TP-DCDC Series of DC to DC converters offered by Tycon Power Systems are a low cost and high reliability solution for those requiring 18V to 48VDC Power Over Ethernet voltage from a 12 or 24V battery system. They have an integrated POE injector to apply the 48VDC to the CAT5 Ethernet cable. The output is regulated 18V, 24V or 48VDC from an input voltage between 9VDC and 36VDC. They have two isolated inputs for connecting 2 power sources, like a primary and backup power source. A metal enclosure model is available for industrial applications.

They have an integrated POE injector to apply the 802.3af or 802.3at output to the CAT5 Ethernet cable. The output voltage is regulated 48VDC-56VDC. They have two isolated inputs for connecting 2 power sources, like a primary and backup power source. A metal enclosure model is available for industrial applications.

If the remote device does not support 802.3af or 802.3at power over Ethernet, a TP-POE-1224 802.3xx converter is available to change the POE output to passive POE with 12V or 24VDC POE output.
