Live Stream Media over IP Extend AV signals as far as your network reaches. This media encoder interfaces with HDMI signals to deliver media over your IP network. It features one HDMI input and one Ethernet output for simplified integration into your AV system.

Standardized Protocols

This encoder complies with standardized and disclosure protocols so that it can work with third-party decoders, such as VLC software, STB, or a media encoder in another system. This allows you to choose the most suitable devices for your AV system.

Advanced Media Codec

The encoder features H.264 video compressing technology. This allows it to transmit video content with visually lossless quality without consuming too much bandwidth. On top of that, the encoder supports AAC audio encoding so a high-quality audio signal can be transmitted using low bandwidth.

Optimized Control Methods

This encoder offers two controlling approaches: web UI and Telnet API. The web UI enables the user to control the system through a common browser. The Telnet API allows the devices to be controlled by a third-party system.

Frequently, the graphics card in one of your source devices can't read the top resolution supported by an attached display. For example, there may be a KVM switch in between the source and the display.

In that case, it will output video at a default or native resolution that could be lower than what the display is capable of.

In a PC, you could go into the video settings table and change the video output to match the display, if you even know this information. But that's not exactly a plug-and-play solution.

This is where the value of a device that supports EDID comes in. EDID provides for optimal source-to-screen performance.

EDID will optimize the video card output for the capabilities of the end display. The EDID ghost unit enables the copying, emulating, cloning, and "learning" of EDID data from a display.

The unit works with a variety of devices, such as Blu-ray DVD players, game consoles, HD set-top boxes, LCD displays, and digital TVs.

• Displays either the default or the copied EDID for connected displays.
• EDID learning functionality prevents computers from deactivating ports.
