Common criteria compliance ensures maximum information security while sharing a single set of approved HIDs - keyboards, mice, speakers, CAC readers, and Microsoft Biometric Readers - between multiple computers. Conformity with Protection Profile v3.0 certifies that non-approved USB peripherals will be rejected and cannot be connected to the Secure KVM, providing high-level security, protection, and data safekeeping.

Active Tamper-Proof System

The IOGEAR Secure KVM Switch's hardware security is comprised of tamper-evident seals, active chassis intrusion detection, and tamper-proof hardware. Embedded software security allows administrators to grant controlled USB port access for keyboards, mice and other devices while ignoring commands from non-HIDs when switching between ports.The onboard software restricts mouse and hotkey commands while clearing the keyboard's buffer when switching ports while ensuring data travels isolated on each port preventing exposure.

The GCS1808KITTAA is a combo VGA KVM switch that includes 8 KVM cables - Set of 4 USB and 4 PS/2 KVM cables.

Access and control of up to 64 computers from a single console (keyboard, mouse, and monitor). As many as 8 additional switches can be cascaded* bringing the total number of connected computers to 64 computers* that can be controlled from a single keyboard-monitor-mouse console. A custom ASIC (patent pending) provides an auto-sensing function that recognizes the position of each station on the installation, eliminating the need to manually set the position with DIP switches. Additionally, the GCS1808 features high density SPHD 15-pin instead of the usual 25-pin connectors thus allowing for a compact design and installation in a 1U system rack.

The GCS1808KITTAA includes one USB port located on the front panel for easy access and sharing of any USB peripherals. Setup is fast and easy; plugging cables into their appropriate ports is all that is needed. The switch supports both USB and PS/2 connections for the console and computers. The GCS1808KITTAA intercepts keyboard input directly, thus eliminating the need for any software configuration. Switching between computers can be easily accomplished either by manually pressing the front panel push button port LEDs, entering hotkey combinations from the keyboard, or via a menu driven multilingual on-screen display (OSD) system. Slim chassis and small SAMs
The DCX Digital KVM Matrix Switch is an attractive option for small to medium applications with ports to support a combination of users and servers, with a supported maximum of 23 CPUs/servers.

Interface-powered server access modules (SAMs) extend DVI or DisplayPort and USB signals over shielded CAT6 or higher rating. In a Matrix setup, the SAM (Server Access Module) can be up to 10m from the DCX switch, and the User Station can be up to 50m away from the DCX switch using shielded category rated cabling. In a Point to Point setup where the SAM (Server Access Module) connects to the DCX Receiver directly, you may extend up to 50m from the SAM to the Receiver. The SAMs support audio via the USB interface, and the receiver can output the audio through the 3.5-mm jack.

In private mode, other users are able to view the shared video but have no keyboard and mouse access to the target. In exclusive mode, no other user has access to the configuration.
