Gefen's AV over IP solutions continue their tradition of providing high performance, scalable, expandable, and secure AV routing and distribution over a standard Gigabit Local Area Network. The Gen 2.0 KVM products offer enhanced performance, features, and functionality such as 4K Ultra HD with HDR support, built-in scalers, video-wall control, independent RS-232, IR, and audio routing, and backward-compatibility with our first generation products.

The EXT-UHD-LANS-TX & RX feature maximum input resolution of 4K 60 Hz 4:2:0, and maximum output resolution of 4K 30 Hz 4:4:4. HDCP 2.2 and 1.4 are also supported. 7.1 channels of HBR (High Bit Rate) lossless and LPCM digital audio can pass through the system as well.

Video, RS-232 2-way IR, and audio can be routed independently between any Sender and Receiver unit, allowing end-users to control any of the sources and the displays within their network. With this greatly expanded array of new cutting-edge features and performance, the new Gefen AV over IP products fully address the ever-growing needs of systems integrators.

The Receiver features a built-in scaler to help optimize the image for a variety of displays and different viewing environments. It also includes a powerful video wall controller that accommodates any screen configuration up to 16x16 and provides great flexibility in sizing and manipulating live and signage content in demanding installations. Digital and analog audio break-out de-embeds audio from the video and sends it to a separate audio system, enhancing the impact of presentations.

Extend DVI and USB 2.0 peripherals with the Gefen CAT5?1600HD KVM extender using two CAT-5e/CAT6 cables. The unit includes a built-in 4-port USB 2.0 hub located on the Receiver unit and gives complete computer access control at the remote location.

Gefen's DisplayPort 1.2-compliant extender is a compact and high performance solution for extending HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4, and DPCP compliant DisplayPort 600 MHz 4K audio/video over fiber. WQUXGA (3840 x 2400), 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160), and 4K Cinema - DCI (4096 x 2160), up to 60 Hz frame rate and 4:4:4 Chroma sub-sampling are supported. The AV signal can be extended up to 200m (660ft), over a single strand of SC-terminated 50/125 µm OM3 or better multi-mode fiber-optic cable. There is full electrical isolation between the Sender and the Receiver, meeting the stringent safety and EMC requirements for critical applications. When used with the Gefen EXT-PS52AU-M-1.3-6-AL power supply (available separately), this extender is compliant with medical safety and EMC standards EN 60601-1 and EN 60601-1-2. The EXT-DP-4K600-1SC can be powered from sources and displays featuring powered USB ports, or by using external power supplies. For most applications, the Sender and Receiver are plug-and-play and will work without any set-up. In cases where signal optimization becomes necessary due to special requirements of a source and/or a display, both units feature easy-to-use EQ switches. The EXT-DP-4K600-1SC supports popular and useful DisplayPort technologies such as Multi-streaming (connecting multiple daisy-chained displays to one DisplayPort output) and Auxiliary Channel (transporting data and controls along with the AV signal). Compact enclosures are easy to install and can be hidden away. Their sturdy metal enclosures help provide further immunity against Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) and radiated noise (RFI). Applications include medical imaging, military and industrial command and control rooms, flight simulators, digital signage, gaming, and wherever 4K full-bandwidth uncompressed video or end-to-end electrical isolation are essential.

Extend DisplayPort with HDCP and DPCP support over dual LC-terminated multi-mode fiber optic cables

The Gefen EXT-DP-CP-2FO extends DisplayPort up to 1000 feet (300 meters) using two strands of 50/125µm multi-mode (OM2/OM3) LC-terminated fiber optic cable. Resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) are supported. 62.5/125µm (OM1) fiber may also be used for a maximum range of up to 500 feet (150 meters).

Compared to similar copper-based solutions, optical signal transmission provides galvanic isolation and much better resistance to electromagnetic interference. Sender and Receiver modules feature cast Aluminum enclosures, providing further immunity to radiated noise.

Female connectors allow optimized lengths of DisplayPort cables to be used, preventing stress on source and display connectors. This, along with the compact size of the modules help create a clean and trouble-free installation by reducing clutter around the connector panels.
