The ComNet FVT/FVR160D8 series video transmitter/data transceiver and video receiver/data transceiver series utilize 10-bit digital encoding and decoding for high-quality video transmission that exceeds the requirements of EIA RS-250C for short-haul video transmission. These environmentally hardened units provide transmission of 16 independent video channels and eight bi-directional data channels over one optical fiber and are ideal for use in unconditioned roadside or out-of-plant installations. These units are completely transparent to and universally compatible with any NTSC, PAL, or SECAM CCTV camera systems, data channels can be set independently for RS232, RS422 and 2 or 4-wire RS485, Sensornet, Bi-phase and Manchester.

The contact closure channel may be used with triggered-event CCTV camera systems, or other applications such as access controlled gates, doors, or other equipment requiring remote actuation and control. This module is universally compatible with all major CCTV camera manufacturers. Housed in a compact, rugged, and lightweight package, this surface/shelf-mount unit is ideal for those installations where space may be limited, and may be DIN-rail mounted by the addition of ComNet DINBKT2 Adaptor Plate Kit. Plug-and-play design ensures ease of installation, and no electrical or optical adjustments are ever required. The FVT1C1B(M)(S)1-M Transmitter is fully compatible with ComNet model FVR4C4B(M)(S)4 4-Channel Video/4-Channel Contact Closure Receiver Unit.

The ComNet FVT/FVR1031 series video transmitter/ receiver and data transceiver supports simultaneous transmission of short-haul quality 10-bit Digitally Encoded video or bi-directional data over one multimode or single mode optical fiber. The module is universally compatible with major CCTV camera manufacturers and supports RS232, RS422 and 2 or 4-wire RS485 data interfaces, and most major data protocols. The FVT/FVR1031 allows the user to set the data mode through a switch on the unit.
