Juniper Networks® ACX Series Universal Access Routers are Juniper's response to a shift in metro network architecture where the access and aggregation layer is extending the operational intelligence from the service provider edge to the access network. Offering GbE, 10GbE, 25GbE, and 100GbE connectivity options in a 1 U footprint, the ACX5400 line gives you the flexibility to create high-density networks with the interfaces you need to support your unique traffic demands.

Aggregate Multiple Services with High Availability

Built with metro service aggregation in mind, the ACX5400 line features 100GbE interfaces for network-to-network interface (NNI) uplinks. It fully supports E-Line, E-LAN, E-Tree, and E-Access, as well as IP-over-IP VPN services. The router supports your business with high-availability networking features such as unified in-service software upgrades (ISSU) and the Junos operating system for consistent delivery of mission-critical voice and video traffic.

The ACX5400 line also offers service virtualization on a dedicated, customizable, kernel-based virtual machine (KVM). The KVM executes operational scripts and programs for network performance monitoring and analysis.

High-Density Networking in Space-Challenged Environments

With the ACX5400 line, you can build high-density telco infrastructures that are both efficient and scalable. For sites with rack space limitations, these 1 U platforms support up to 48 GbE or 10GbE ports, up to 16 25GbE ports (via QSFP28 breakout), and up to six 100GbE ports. The packet-optical convergence version provides two 100/200G CFP2 DCO line-side ports for easy and highly flexible multilayer deployments.
