The MA.111 Ultima Series 2in1 GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO & Cellular Combination Antenna is an extremely low profile combination high performance GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO and penta-band cellular antenna solution for professional telematics applications. At only 22 mm height it is the lowest profile antenna in the market, with a diameter of 55 mm. It is designed to be mounted and couple to the metal structures it attaches to radiate. Durable UV ABS housing, thread and nut is resistant to vandalism and direct attack.

The IP67 waterproof robust plastic body makes it extremely light, economical for shipping and minimum weight impact on vehicles. This also makes it ideal for use in humid environments such as water pits or marine applications as there are no external metal parts to corrode. The closed cell foam with double-sided adhesive provides a permanent waterproof seal and can adjust to different curvatures, stopping water from leaking under the antenna into the mounting hole.

For applications that require mounting on non-metal structures we recommend the Hercules MA.105.

The MA106.C GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO and Cellular Combination Hercules Antenna is the newest upgraded model of Taoglas' popular Hercules series. It is a combination 2in1 high performance GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO and penta-band cellular antenna solution for the most reliable asset tracking and remote monitoring. The GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO antenna and LNA have been optimized to provide excellent performance.

The penta-band cellular antenna delivers high efficiency at all common 3G/2G bands worldwide, making it ideal for use on GSM, GPRS, and CDMA systems.

Durable UV and robust PC housing is resistant to vandalism and direct attack. At only 29 mm in height, it complies with the latest EU height restriction directives for roof-mounted objects, with a diameter of 49 mm. It is designed to be covert and not catch on tree branches.

The Hercules can be mounted on metal or non-metal structures as it has a metal ground-plane base integrated inside. A waterproof closed cell foam seal under the base adheres to the surface it is mounted on and can stretch to fit curved surfaces typical on vehicles, preventing water from penetrating any mounting hole.

This is a combination high performance GPS/GALILEO and 2.4~2.5GHz antenna to simplify AVL or Fleet management antenna systems worldwide. Its high quality low profile covert housing can be attached onto the glass or even out of sight under the dashboard. This combination is ideal for those applications that require durability, small size, and covert installation.

Many module manufacturers specify peak gain limits for any antennas that are to be connected to that module. Those peak gain limits are based on free-space conditions. In practice, the peak gain of an antenna tested in free-space can degrade by at least 1 or 2dBi when put inside a device. So ideally you should go for a slightly higher peak gain antenna than mentioned on the module specification to compensate for this effect, giving you better performance

Upon testing of any of our antennas with your device and a selection of appropriate layout, integration technique, or cable, Taoglas can make sure any of our antennas' peak gain will be below the peak gain limits. Taoglas can then issue a specification and/or report for the selected antenna in your device that will clearly show it complying with the peak gain limits, so you can be assured you are meeting regulatory requirements for that module.

For example, a module manufacturer may state that the antenna must have less than 2dBi peak gain, but you don't need to select an embedded antenna that has a peak gain of less than 2dBi in free-space. This will give you a less optimized solution. It is better to go for a slightly higher free-space peak gain of 3dBi or more if available. Once that antenna gets integrated into your device, performance will degrade below this 2dBi peak gain due to the effects of GND plane, surrounding components, and device housing. If you want to be absolutely sure, contact Taoglas and we will test. Choosing a Taoglas antenna with a higher peak gain than what is specified by the module manufacturer and enlisting our help will ensure you are getting the best performance possible without exceeding the peak gain limits.

The standard version has 3 metres RG174 cable and SMA(M) connector on GPS/GALILEO and RP-SMA(M) on 2.4~2.5GHz. The cables and connectors are completely customizable according to customer request.

The Stream MA.208 GPS/GALILEO/LTE Cellular antenna is a low profile, heavyduty, fully IP67 waterproof external M2M antenna for use by RF professionals in telematics, transportation and remote monitoring applications. The Stream is unique in the market as it combines the highest possible efficiency and peak gain for GPS/GALILEO and all cellular bands in 4G/3G/2G in a low profile compact format for mounting via high quality first tier automotive approved 3M adhesive foam.

The patent pending design incorporates internally a custom Taoglas 35mm patch antenna on an extended integral ground-plane to deliver more than 3.5dBiC gain. A front-end SAW filter dramatically reduces radiated spurious emissions. The extended ground-plane used with an innovative internal cellular PIFA also enables the unique wide-band 4G/3G/2G response to deliver the highest performance possible, at 3 meters cable length. Nothing else out there comes close in terms of consistency of efficiency and peak gain at all cellular bands, with an awesome 70%+ at the LTE 700MHz band, again including 3 meters of cable loss. High antenna efficiencies are absolutely critical in today's 3G and 4G systems to achieving targeted data-speeds and coverage.

All this is done while still maintaining 20dB isolation between antennas. The Stream uses high-shielded PTFE dielectric ultra low-loss cables that maintain low attenuation at all frequency bands, and high noise rejection, with an average loss of only 0.3dB per meter (0.1dB per foot), compared to 0.7dB for RG58 and 1.2dB for RG174. Because of this, the Stream maximizes chances of passing PTCRB and network approvals first time. The Stream works best when attached to plastic or glass, but can also be used on metal if some foam spacing is added.

The Stream comes packaged with a separate 3M first tier automotive approved adhesive which can be attached to either the bottom of the top of the product, for easy mounting directly on glass, or on plastic.

LTE 4G applications demand high speed data uplink and downlink. High efficiency and high gain MIMO antennas are necessary to achieve the required signal to noise ratio and throughput required to solve these challenges. Taoglas also takes care to have high isolation between the two MIMO antennas to prevent self-interference. The MA412 does not require a ground plane. Low loss cables are used to keep efficiency high over long cable lengths. In contrast, smaller MIMO antennas with poorer quality thinner cables will have much reduced efficiency and isolation, which would lead to a large drop in system throughput or drops, and may indeed not make a system connection at all.
